QUIZ: If A Deer Walks Through The Woods … Will You Spot It?

Bowhunting Featured

Animals are experts at evading predators, and they’re much better at hiding than we are at finding them. But with practice and a few tips, you can spot a well-hidden deer with ease.

A skilled hunter can pick apart the woods and easily identify a deer. Some advantages to developing this skill are obvious; after all, you can’t shoot what you can’t see. Also, being a keen observer sets you up for early success; if you see a deer 100 yards away, you’ll have time to get into position while the deer makes its approach.

Through experience, you can train your eyes to spot small irregularities in nature, such as the flick of a tail, a horizontal line among a vertical forest or a splash of white surrounded by brown. Let’s test your deer-spotting abilities with this quiz!
